I became very racist once. I hated Aspies. I didn't believe I was one.

Aspie boys all seemed like little b*****s complaining about their mothers and their clothes, walking and talking like girls. (I KNOW BETTER NOW!)

I looked down on Aspies. I thought they were pathetic. I was so insulted when my mother said I had AS, or might have it. (Again, now I know better. Now I blame those people who wrote those books who make all AS boys seem like little b*****s, and all AS girls seem like Carrie Whites.)

Have you ever felt like this?

I don't walk and talk like a girl :|

I walk and talk like I'm in a daze.

No, not really. But a mate of mine always annoyed me, and others, and I didn't know why. Then I learned more about the DX matrix, and realized he was very ASpie, more like HFA.

Aspies aren't a race, did you mean discriminating ?
And yes i agree, people with autism on the news usually are shown as severely disabled.

Oh; she's that gross girl with the crazy religious mother in the Stephen King novel Carrie, who eventually gets so mad she gets psychic powers and kills her mean classmates with them. :)

I loved that movie. The original movie most, although the second version seemed more realistic to me, in a way.

A little like that about classic autism, I saw a very short segment on TV about children with it in the early nineties, that's when I heard about it for the first time, and I thought in my ignorance, that was just an excuse for misbehaved children. Shame on me :( well, I didn't like children that much then though :P
