How many have seen the movie Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise and fell in love with it? I've watched it 20 times and I'm a dude. What is it about this movie or am I a freak?
I just can relate to Cruise's character after the car accident. I feel this movie best describes my AS. I'm here but not really here. I also think this movie is twice as better as the original Abre los ojos (no offense you Spaniards). Tech support!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !!

good movie but I would have stayed in the programme I think, what's the point going out into a world that you don't know to be lonely and broke.

I only saw Abre Tus Ojos, I loved the movie but only watched it once. For me, the surprise was the special quality about it and gave me food for thought. I like Spanish movies a lot. No, I'm not Spanish.

Watch it a couple of times and you'll start to fall in love with it. Trust me.

Vanilla Sky was an okay movie; I'd not have watched it if it hadn't been assigned for my Visual Cultures class last year. The problem with just about any movie with Tom Cruise is that he's Tom f-ing Cruise, and it's really hard to get past that and see the character rather than the actor, especially after some of his off-screen antics. One part I did like was the rooftop scene at the end, with the distorted spatial relationships between the skyscraper and the rest of Manhattan; it gave it a very dreamlike quality.
