Dear one and all at Wrong Planet: I shall be leaving soon. By the time I reach 2000 posts I shall officially leave. I do not know if I will pop in from time to time afterwards, but I shall leave. The reason is hard to understand but relates to a post above my last post in the thread about clowns. Please, for my mental stability DO NOT POST A COPY OF IT HERE! Otherwise, I will not be able to live with myself. It is quite complicated, but I have to leave after 2000 posts.

I am sorry. But my mind has been made.

I don't know everything you said, because a lot of the posts have been deleted, but you shouldn't leave just because one or many stupid things you've said. We all say stupid things we regret, especially people on this site, I think it's really no big deal. Although I may be missing the point here as I missed a lot of the posts. Seemed like the clown debate turned into a homphobic battle.

If it's the last post that's still there, I don't see anything remotely wrong with it, and if there is anything it's pretty trivial. You generalised clowns. Big deal. There's much worse things people have said thn that.

Bull S*** Malcolm_Scripo..stop feeling bad for yourself. You are a valued member here...Your posts are appriciated. Don't leave, we need you.

I looked in the clown thread and I couldn't see what the deal was. Either the mods moved/deleted it or I missed something... can someone tell me what the deal is?

And Malcolm, don't leave! If someone is being disrespectful to you or anyone else report it to the mods and hopefully they will take care of the problem...

I haven't even read the clown thread so I have no idea what this is about, Malcolm, but don't you think running away because of one conflict is a little childish?

I won't tell you not to leave, because I hate being told not to leave when I leave places. Especially since often the reasons I leave places are personal, and all people telling me not to leave does is prolong some nasty stuff in my head. But good luck whichever way things go.

I´m reading this whole clown-thread just now and I can´t see what the problem is. I assume the post you´re talking about is already deleted. I think you shouldn´t feel bad about just one post.

If you´re doing a lot of posts you can´t avoid sometimes making remarks you afterwards regret.

Just sharing with others what´s making you feel bad might help you feeling better.

Feel free to come and go whenever you wish. If you feel you´re to obsessed with WP, just slow down some time. You don´t have to say goodbye forever.

But if you don´t change your mind I wish you the best.

I will be disappointed to see you leave, and I hope that you change your mind.

But I understand. When I have made up my mind, I don't change it. Even when I can see that the decision is counter productive.

I too had to "leave" a social setting where I was welcome, and I knew it was crazy to do so and that I couldn't explain it to the friends I'd made there. I know that it was not the right thing to do, but it was something that I had to do.

Whenever you work through this, know that you will be welcomed back.

I haven't been a member long, but your presense on the boards here has been of interest to me.
