Even if I don't want to discuss what I'm stressed about, just talking about other subjects with other aspies is calming.

Anybody else feel the same?

I think I know just what you mean, JK.

I'm a member of several other boards for many different topics. None to do with AS. Other boards are very NT. I have to think very hard how to phrase things for that fragile NT egos are stroked or that I demonstrate the right amount of empathy etc,

I have just as much respect for people here (probably more so) but I don't feel that need to ego stroke etc. here. I just feel I can be myself, I can cut the crap, the small talk that's required even in cyberspace, and get right to the point.

It's also very very affirming to be amongst kin. We are normal to each other. Does that make sense?

I am that way as well.

Also, it boosts my post count. (Oops, my secret is out. :D )

Truth be told, I find participating on this site to be stressful. I exercise when I'm stressed. I'm thinking I need to re-evaluate the way I'm investing my time.

Being a mod probably adds to that.

I've visited when stressed, but I rarely post anything when that way.

If I'm very stressed, I won't post here. I tend to post most when I'm relaxed.
