Hi everyone! I hope I am doing the right thing, but I have had some interest in maybe trying the GF/CF diet. After considering putting my entire family through the process, I decided I would rather KNOW if my son's body is sensitive to casein and gluten BEFORE doing the diet. Earlier in 07 he was tested for many allergies via the scratch test. He showed NEG to casein and gluten. I found out just a week ago that you can only find the gluten and casein sensitivities by examining a blood sample. I am taking him to the allergist in the morning, hoping he will order the blood tests. Has anyone ever done this? How long does it take to get results?
We are also having our first IEP meeting tomorrow. Wish I knew more about what to expect/request. Although I realize everyone is different, what are some of the common strategies put into place??
Thank You so much!!
