I think Asperger's has four different kinds.

1) Cats

Female--The most able to handle social situations. Unable to handle long term relationships like marriage. They are highly independent, sometimes mistaken for lesbians. Very intelligent, essentric and obessed about things like books, grammar, and procedures. Likely to die at the age of 95, living alone with 75 cats. AKA the Cat Lady

Male--usually very independent, appears shy. Has a hobby like computers, building computers, or bikes, or maybe music. Very shy. If he gets a girl it is because she made a move, not him. Often can be genius but is quiet so nobody really knows.

2) Dogs

Female--Usually talkitive, always asking questions, handflapping, cannot lie, always honest, sweet innocent, easy to tease. Also easily to upset, and often has trouble adjusting to new things, clothing, and situations, especially when young, cannot hold still. And barking about this or the other thing.

Male--Talk, Talk, Bark Bark, always says the wrong social thing. Usually complains about everything, bark bark, why this or that. Usually the guy that appears dumb, but is actually smart when tested and allowed to demonstrate his skill and attitude. Has few is any friends because he doesn't know how to control his social interactions, and had a great deal of trouble with voice moduation control. He is always too loud or too soft when speaking for the situation, and he would never shut up or get to the point.

What do you think, are there different types of Asperger's? And do they appear different in men vs. women?

Best,

Idaho Aspie

I sound like the male dog. Hmmm.... no wonder I get along with my dog so well.

Anyway, Cool theory!

I am also a hybrid. I fit both the female cat and dog descriptions, although, the cat one fits me better.

Nice theory.

I fit more with the female cat one. Then again, it's really my oppinion.

I like cats only as much as birds or fish, but I love dogs. I adore puppies. I like their wet noses, their cute paws, their wagging tails, their ears, their long teeth, and how it feels when they bite in a playful, gentle way. Ah, dogs are a nice species when you train them right.

I also think there are many different types of people with AS. I don't think it's very different due to gender, really.

I am a female cat Aspie. I call myself The Crazy Cat Lady. I currently have nine cats, and have had many others throughout my life. I took a test of projected longevity and it said I would live into my late 90s.

I have never been married, but I'd like to find a Male Cat type, a kind, smart, Roger Bannister type. I don't know if they even exist anymore.

There are different kinds of As'ers - because everone's different. No two fingerprints are alike and no two brains are alike either. So of course.

I'm something like this except of course being a female and that even if a guy approached me I'd run the other way.
