Why.

Why.

Why.

It's not attractive. It's not seductive. It's repulsive actually. <perk> Hey, maybe some people do drench themselves in perfumery subconsciously to ward off any human contact.

I don't know. I was in an aisle of a HUGE store with a guy who apparently opted to bathe in cologne before heading out shopping, and I swear the pungent odor hung in the air minutes after he left as if he were still there. How can these people stand themselves? A simple whiff gives me a headache.

I've read that people become immune to scents they are exposed to for long periods of time, at constant levels. People who wear the same perfume or cologne every day need to apply increasing amounts of it in order to be able to smell it. If they don't smell it, they think they're not wearing enough.

So those people with over-powering odors can probably barely smell it themselves. However, their noses remain sensitive to novel smells so they don't notice any differences in their environment.

People can become similarly immune to their own body odor, the way their house smells, or any other smell to which they are constantly exposed.

I can't recall what aftershave smells like, but since it has certain chemicals, I don't feel I'm missing anything. My grandfather wears too much old spice for church, because he wears it to suit his own sencory of the nose. I hate old spice so much. It's such a sick smell to me. It made my nose feel like it was burning when he put it on that thick. He is old, so his senses aren't as fine as mine are. I don't understand why people wear too much smell either.

I may have turn immune to the people smell but rather prefer people to smell like people that like sickening perfume.
