Potential problems:

The forum is large.
The topics are broad.
It's hard to flit from topic to topic without being somewhat superficial.
It's difficult to keep track of individuals that I feel connected to.

Proposed solution:

In addition to current format, each member opens a thread by username, with each containing a profile based on age, Myers Briggs personality type, special interests, general introduction and formal or self diagnosis. Perhaps populate those threads with all the user's posts to-date, and each new post would automatically be represented there too?

Obviously, we don't want to lose the interaction of different perspectives, but it would also be nice to find our like-minded friends and be able to interact more specifically.

Profile does most of that, I often look at the last posts before replying.
