In other words, no actual active hate against NTs.
Excellent. Now if the NTs would start supporting neurodiversity too, we'd be all set.
The issue is that almost no one has ever even heard of AS unless they or a close friend or family member have it. You're asking people to support respect something that they don't know exists and that, in addition, often looks a lot like run-of-the-mill rudeness, laziness, etc. If people don't know of any alternative explanation for rudeness (and very few people with AS seem inclined to tell anyone else that they have it), why should they put up with rudeness? And there are a lot more people out there who are just plain rude because they're rude, not because they have AS.
Do you put up with NTs getting in your face and making small talk just because they're NT, or do you come here and complain about them and call them Neanderthals? And that's someone performing what's commonly thought of in Western society as a
polite behavior,
plus you have the advantage of knowing that they're NT and you're on the autism spectrum. Yet you want people to support what are commonly thought of in Western society as
rude behaviors, even though they're totally unaware of any reason to do so.
(I know many people support neurodiversity, but only the people who've ever heard of it can support it, and most people haven't. Obviously this post is only relevant for those who haven't.)
