Asperger's/HFA groups

Many people on this forum are willing to describe their experiences with therapists, psychiatrists and psychologists. Has anyone on this website set up a local group to talk, relate or therapise (probably not a word) about their AS or HFA? I live in the middle of North Carolina and I am trying to find a few people in this world who I could relate to . If there is a person who has had success setting up a therapy group, or just a meeting of people with AS or HFA, your story could help me out a great deal.
