I have just been prescribed Trimipramine by my psychiatrist to help me with anxiety and insomnia.
Have anyone else tried these, if so, how did you get on?

haven't tried this one, but my daughter has taken imipramine in low doses for one thing. At low doses, the side effects are minimal. For stubborn conditions, when it must be taken in larger doses, it can have side effects - groggyness, weight gain, etc. Here is a >> Link to Prescribing Info << that you may or may not know about.

For mild conditions related to stress and depression, I prefer St. Johns Wort (it contains a polycyclic or heterocyclic compound similar to imipramine and related) but it also contains other things that work in different ways. I would never mix St. Johns with tricyclic meds. In fact, even grapefruit juice might be dangerous when you are taking trimipramine.
