Feel so embarrased and horrible when someone (i.e. a teacher or a parent) picks on you or yells at you in front of a group of people (or just yells at you in general) for "no reason" (you have no idea what you did) or does it in a teasing way that you feel horrible for the rest of the day?

Sometimes, but very rarely.

I cannot stand it one bit. I can't really tell if they are teasing or not half of the time, and it's hard if I'm the only one getting it, lol, because then I can't just say "well, he/she does that to everyone, it's just part of his/her personality".

I cannot tolerate having someone raise their voice to me.
I'm not yer bloody dog, so pipe down ! !!

My ex-boss used to do this quite frequently.

yeah, i cant tell if they're kidding or not either... i usually look them i the eyes for a few seconds (not so easily, or easy, for that matter...) and try and decipher if they're kidding or not. if they are kidding, i usually just laugh and shrug it off, but i didn't used to do that...

i used to hold a grudge, but grudges don't really serve anyone, ya know? if someone is upset at me an acts out, i usually try and listen to them but not let them affect how i feel.

those damn bullies (yes, adult bullies) out there have us marked, like they have some kind of aspie radar, and a couple people i know are really good manipilators, but when they learn that their manipulations are not effective any longer, they usually tone it down.

a hint to the bullied: stand your ground, believe in your values, and stay pleasant, even in the face of conflict. it's one hell of an act, but it works!

I used to feel like that when I was younger, but when I read about it in books and saw it done to other people, I realized I wasn't the only one this happened to and why they do it sometimes and how to prevent it sometimes, and just to be cheerful about it, and that they should be embarrassed, not me. :)

It happened to me so often as a child that I started to develop coping mechanisms. I started to act out to get a reaction, because that gave me control over the situation. I'd bite back and retaliate and became quite good at making my abusers look like idiots (most of them were anyway). And I developed a hard shell to deflect most of it, this happens when it's such a constant thing.

Of course it still hurt and still made me feel like I wanted to die on occassions. But then I'd see the satisfaction my abusers would be getting and I'd start the fight again, just to take that twinkle out of their eyes.

I have to say that a dog should not be treated this way either :(

I can't tolerate it either.

YES, and I would not be happy nor tolerate it if it ever happened again.

WHen at work, we all gather in this small room and have a meeting, latly the boss keeps asking me how I am doing, thats all good, but then asking me questions about my personal life. Now i get the feeling hes ripping on me infront of the rest of thr group, and tend to give very short answers that are often BS answers anyways to try and divert his attention. The room is small and crowded, so im uncomfortable, and dont want to talk but get out ASAP.

I understand 100% where u come from!
