Does anyone else like "bad" weather?

I do. It's raining in NE right now and I am SO happy. I love rain and snow. I always get happy when I know it's going to rain for awhile. I like sunny weather on some days, but when that green doppler heads towards my area, I am quite pleased.

I used to go park and watch the lightning storms move over the high plains in Colorado.

I know I am strange, but what was with the other twenty cars?

True, we did not have a drive-in movie, it beat anything the Nature Channel ever did, really big screen.

I do like snow n its dissapointin dat it doesn't snow enough in the UK.

Now that I've been living in England for over a year, I am tired of it, haha.

But I used to LOVE "bad" weather. Rain seemed like a peaceful type of weather...It's associated with staying in, being quiet. It was like an excuse to be myself!

of course, why else would I live in the Great Pacific Northwest?
I love the rain, and gloomy days, and rough weather on the Pacific Coast.
I grew up in the wild weather of the Midwest, Tornado Alley. . where the hot afternoons meet with the moisture of the Gulf of Mexico and sends up huge anvil shaped clouds of the most vivid purple and black only to sweep over the land sending sheets of bullet rain dropping from miles above.

yeah! give me the wild weather of the Earth! Although many have died of it, I haven't died yet!

Yeah, I've never understood why some people use the term, "bad weather".

It's all just weather... a bit inconvenient sometimes for us humans, sometimes downright deadly, but the weather isn't "bad".

I miss the lightning storms in the deserts too!

I miss the dry, cold winters of Fairbanks, Alaska!

I miss the warm, sunny days up in the mountains of New Mexico/Arizona/Utah... with the afternoon showers!

I do enjoy some of the rainy, foggy times here on the Northern coast of California... I JUST WISH IT WASN'T ALL WINTER LONG!

Back when I was teaching survival, I was off in the woods on my own quite a bit. This was always in the winter here, so it was invariably rainy or snowy, but for some reason, I didn't mind it in that environment. I guess when I'm 'home' in town, I like to be able to step out without a raincoat or umbrella.

I like riding the bike trails here in the rain cause then noone else is out there. Also like how snow insulates all the sounds and makes it all pretty and quiet.

It's cold here at the moment. Made worse by the fact that I can't shut my window. So I'm shivering here...

I love the rain and people often complain of the gloomy San Francisco weather but I love it. When I go out of state people think because I come from California, I'm used to warm weather, but that's not the case in San Francisco. I really like when it's so foggy you can't see past a few feet in front of you. I love rainy days when I have nothing to do, I'll put the blinds up and watch it. I've always wanted to move to the Pacific Northwest because I think it would suit me.

snow is not bad weather,it is the best weather ever.
well,not manchester slow [that slushy,mixed with rain type] but canada in winter type snow.

have been waiting for years to go to the chill factor [was at least 1998 when they announced an indoor snow/ski centre] http://www.chillfactore.com/ it's not properly opened yet [sometime this month] real falling snow,freezing temperature,no rain.
if only could get some proper thick snow here.

Funny thing is... growing up in West Texas, I used to think that too. Now I know the difference between Southern Cal and Northern Cal.




YES! I love Alaska and the weather... although I really spent most of my 5 yrs there hanging out in Fairbanks. UAF was great because I spent so much time in the winter snowshoeing or skiing on the trails before going to classes!

What got me was the folks who bike in -30 weather! I could get down to -20, then I started driving to school again

I had a job once in a commercial laundry doing all the bedding for the pump stations for the pipleline... 90lb loads.
This was a swing-shift, so I got home (lived North of town) around midnight.
In the winter, I would just let the dog out (a german shepherd) and we'd walk on the packed snow machine trails.
Cold, crisp air... oh man! I can remember how good it was!

Yes. I love a really good storm and I miss the snow now I'm living in poxy England.

Back home in Scotland I would get 'snowed in' a couple of times a year - not enough to get out of the door but the drifts would be too deep to get a car or bike out. There's nothing like being out in the woods in the snow, all alone apart from a dog or two. Magical.

Yeah, I went on a tornado chasing holiday once and had a great time.

I like cold. The colder the better, in fact, at summer breaks I have to be a lot in the river or something, to avoid really bad breakdowns. I walk around in t-shirt and jeans when it's -5°C, and I'm fine with it. One of the things people put me down for.

I love rainy days, although we don't get many of them in Arizona.

I like storms, and windy weather. When I lived in Maine, I used to hike to the top of the tallest mountain at least once a week. On top, it was so windy that practically nothing could grow. I enjoyed the feeling of the wind nearly knocking me over.
