She may have made progress, but she isn't cured... Even I can tell that...

Did you know that WE all have stem cells in our heads? It's TRUE!

http://stemcells.nih.gov/info/basics/basics4.asp

Quote:
Also in the 1960s, scientists who were studying rats discovered two regions of the brain that contained dividing cells, which become nerve cells. Despite these reports, most scientists believed that new nerve cells could not be generated in the adult brain. It was not until the 1990s that scientists agreed that the adult brain does contain stem cells that are able to generate the brain's three major cell types—astrocytes and oligodendrocytes, which are non-neuronal cells, and neurons, or nerve cells.

Kind of wipes out their premise, huh?

NOW, as to patricia! A few problems....

1. Everything outside of what I will say is basically meaningless as they don't show her BEFORE.
2. She DEFINITELY appears autistic.
3. Her abilities are remedial and perfunctory.
4. She WILL likely show progress due to an effort made to encourage it.
5. She is at an age where her brain is going through more changes making such anecdotes rather meaningless.
6. She is doing that by parroting, or on a trigger. Even BIRDS can do THAT!

I don't mean to insult her. I'm sure she's got some faculties behind there that could wakeup tomorrow, and be GREAT. If they do, however, it would be a disservice to humanity to declare it proof of stem cell treatment.

I hate videos and things like this. She's a growing girl, of course things are going to change. :?
Each person is different, each has thier own rate of progression.

Wow... if that's what they consider "cured"...

Guess we're all utterly, totally normal here by comparison.
