Ok I am an Aspie and to be honest I have no idea of my IQ I am going to find a good test online and do a test and post the results here.

If anybody knows of a good test then please post the link.

I have a funny feeling some with classic Autism are going to beat me very quickly.

We all like to think we are smart but my Aspie honesty tells me this might not be true in my case or in the case of many people who think they are smart.

Edit I have just found a site that says the average IQ is 100 this is going to be interesting.

Now I have a result I like but I think I should find another test to see if I just got lucky.

I don't have aspergers I have classic autism.

My IQ depends on the test, and mood. I've scored between 55-140. I don't really think IQ tests are all that useful. Especially for people on the spectrum

IQ tests are crackpot science then?

I suppose you can take different ones until you get the result you want.

The ones you do with a psychologist like the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale ,WAIS, have some reliability and validity but are controversial. The online ones could be completely useless and probably have not been empirically tested.

Asperger's was not supposed to be diagnosed in people with "global cognitive impairment" or intellectual disability but I'm not sure how closely diagnosticians adhered to that.

Online ones aren't worth the paper they're written on.

A properly administered one is worth something.

Online IQ tests are not accurate or comprehensive. I don't know why you suspect that your IQ is low, but I suggest you take a good look at other people; the "average" person is likely dumber than you suspect (to put it briefly, if imprecisely); this therefore lowers the bar for everyone with regard to what is "smart."

This test, however, might interest you:

set aside some free time. it's not easy

Good job on the I.Q. test, shark. I can tell you're intelligent just by reading your posts. Anyway, the I.Q. test is like the SAT. It's somewhat proportional to your intelligence, but only loosely.

For example, the experts place Bach's I.Q. at 165, yet there are people out there with I.Q.s that are higher. Now you tell me, who is smarter? The guy with the higher I.Q.? No way.

agree , I've had these type of tests post head injury and I was in the low average range I took great offense to it at the time though I do realise I would be closer to the average + if I did not have anxiety disorder the stupid tests make no allowances for this , all it does is imply your semi stupid
