Hmmm… ‘Success story’?
I’m very successful at ‘fitting-in’, and very successful at hiding my ‘label’. I may have a shorter distance to bridge than some. I can communicate / socialize.
Success for me is feeling relaxed, content and in harmony with what I like to do, which is not ‘socializing to fit-in, or for fun’. I prefer a quiet corner to write, away from the crowd, perhaps alone in the garden with a pair of snipers while admiring the weeds, that’s the real me…..
Nobody likes the ‘weeds’. They don’t ‘fit-in’, though I have noticed that weeds are very tenacious, and have a beauty of their own…
So I guess I’m a success story. I can socialize if need be, fit in, but frankly, it is not very rewarding… I prefer a lot of alone time. You know, a chance to forget to shower, don’t bother to shave, blah, blah, blah.
Well, I do like my quasi-social life here, and my chaotic family household….
It is not easy, but I try to be a less depressed ‘tenacious confident weed’.
