Support Groups / Resources in New Zealand

I want to find out what support is available in New Zealand for adults with Asperger's Syndrome.

I''m considering moving to Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua or Wellington. I would like to move somewhere with already estabished support / resources.

I have heard Christchurch is the best place in New Zealand in this respect, but it is to far to move for me.

The only resource I can find in the yellow directory is Autism NZ. I'll give the Citizens Advice Bureaux a call and see what they can find out.

I have also heard of "life links" and I would like to know which of these cities they can provide support in.

Good link. Would have been interesting to hook up with the WELLINGTON (NZ) ADULT ASD GROUP when I was in NZ a couple of weeks ago. On the bright side I did get a free Apple T-Shirt at the Wellington MacIntosh Users Group meeting

If you do find out, let me know. I'm from the Manawatu, but now live in the UK, but am going for a 6-week holiday back home early next year so it'd be interesting to see what there is!!

There is a social group which is run through AutismNZ for adults who are AS/HFA.

I have inquired about this myself and thinking of attending next year.
