i feel so sorry for it. It has been through so much sorrow, pain, trauma, has been trying to get my attention all these long, long LONG years - the only way it knew - was to cause emotional upheavals, separation, fears and repeated trauma. Poor lesions! How much suffering it/I endured through this time. I wish there was a balm or a salve that I could apply to my beautiful brain. I have used so many different elements - from music to esoterics to substances to put my brain at ease. How sorry i am that the soul-u-tion as eluded me for so long. Bless my brain. Bless my amagdyla. Bless all the lesions and the pathways never connected. The sorrowful and barren areas that could have been. Could have been.

You must be forgetting the positive aspects behind having "less" connections? Either that, or you never checked into it.

That voice I've heard before. It critcized me and refused me. I recognize the cold and the dead the unforgiving and the rejection. I remember you well voice of hollowness, my mother, my tormentor, my conditional substance. How are you? Do you fare well these days? Is life a bowl of cherries and do songbirds serenade you? Ease your pain mother. I know this too is for the bitter better.

I named my self "Princess AMYGDALA" after the Star Wars character, when I do something particularly bone headed.

Fear not, Amygdala! For I, Science, will save you.

.....check back in a half-century or so for the dramatic conclusion.

It really is a magical and beautiful place inside of us all. We experience it every single moment of our lives. Even asleep. We are magnificent in our pain and joy.

This is what it looks like - mapped - http://brainmaps.org/index.php?i=amygdala

It just may take an Aspie to cure Science from its shortcomings.

My over-active amygdala has caused lesions in my poor hippocampus. At the age of 26, my amygdala finally learned to exist peacefully and respect its neighbors. My hippocampus is recovering and starting to forgive the amygdala.
