Feeling creative at christmas

I don't mean in a lets bake christmas buns and make papier mache decorations. I mean in the sense that with all the lights and cosy atmosphere I feel like working and being productive, writing drawing etc while the rest of the world is slowing down and relaxing for the festive period! For the other 300 days of the year I do very little ! !

in 2002 I got creative for Christmas. I made all the gifts (for the adults). And some ornaments for my tree.

My creative spurt does come in the cold weather though. Maybe it has to do with cabin fever. Although in the summer, I do like to do my photography, so I guess my creativity just shifts gears.

I do a lot of music writing. It always frustrates me that the music industry basically closes down over christmas while everyone writes pointless lists. I plan on starting a fanzine about 7" singles on my days off.

HEY!! Whats wrong with baking!!

Everyone is getting baked goods from me for Christmas this year, I've made 65 dozen cookies so far. I love it when one of my fixations comes in handy!!

I get like this, around December. I like to make all kinds of Christmas art, on my laptop.

One year I melted all the wax in the house, candles mostly! And made a wax computer keyboard and other readymade objects!?

Where's mine then??

I seem to get creative in my gift-giving at this time of year. I'm making candy for most of our relatives and I've been working on a teddy bear for a little cousin of mine. Other than that, I'm about as unproductive as I am the rest of the year.
