In the book, "Cheaper by the Dozen" about a family growing up in the Depression Era, people never talked about personal or things they felt were "private"...even the need to go to the bathroom. When the children needed to go to the bathroom, they would say, "I have to go see Mrs. Murphy..." especially convenient at those times when they needed to stop somewhere while the family was traveling in the car.
It was a private, discreet way of saying, "I have to pee."...and family and friends knew the reason for the need to visit Mrs. Murphy...she existed in many places!
Don't be
eskimo. (That might sound racist now, but it's from the book "Cheaper by the Dozen.")
I tend to over detail. I don't give out too much private information. I have a hard time with giving out that kind of private information, even to doctors.
But I over detail in lots of other areas... go off on tangents detailing info that no one really needs, but I don't know how to sort through what is vital to the discussion and what isn't.
When I write papers they tend to be much longer than what is asked because I have so much to say..... and it's ALL interesting...
To me, that's classic Asperger's/autism stuff.
