I know i do.
Whilst my friends try to be nice about it, strangers or People who dont like me dont. Recently i was out bowling with some friends and this guy on one of the other lanes started shouting at me and dont me not to keep staring at his girlfriend! I didnt even realise i was doing it though!
People get reallllly freaked out by it though but half the time i dont realise i am doing it.
does anyone else experience these problems?
xx

I used to have this problem a lot when I was younger - and like you I didn't realise I was doing it!
It used to upset me that the people who I was inadvertantly staring at were convinced I was doing it on purpose.

Now I tend to be nagged by people for not giving eye contact - although when I do try to give eye contact (which is difficult for me) I then get told that I'm overdoing it and staring. I can't win!

I think I stared more when I was younger.
Now I am no-eye contact..

The very AS-ish lady I work with who is in her 50's is a starer and she always tries to force eye contact...

Worrying...

I didn't even know it was rude to stare at people until I was 18 or so. Until then, I did a lot of staring. I guess people were offended and I didn't know why. I still catch myself staring at people sometimes, especially when I'm bored.

My eye contact is usually on either extreme: not enough or too much, or so I'm told.

I try not even to look at some people because I'm afraid they'll think I'm staring...

I'm always looking at people and what they do. Feels like television.
Is that staring if when they look my way I look away?. I avoid pointless eye contact.
At any given place I get the feeling they notice I tend to look at them so I end up just glancing for briefer periods of time; not sure if it's enough.

I have to be really careful about not staring too much in conversations. I tend to focus IN when talking, because if I don't, I won't hear something or I'll miss something or I'll wander off. And then people get pissed off at me.

My husband stares at new people or anything unusual.

One day we were walking through the city and their were some tough looking guys with really weird hair-dos. My husband stared and started to the point of turning his head as we walked past. I was scared and thought we were going to be beaten up!
