I have this rubbery rubber band thing, that i love to rub wherever i go, it keeps me calm. I also carry my ipod everywhere to zone everything out haha. If i dont have any of those items, i literally loose it. What do you keep with you everywhere you go to avoid meltdowns or sensory overloads?

Assorted different things at different times:

Thing playing familiar music.
Blue rhombus wooden pattern blocks.
Wooden cat sculpture.
Some sort of portable video game.
Tape measure.

My watch is a good overstress-preventer.

Earplugs--I usually don't need them, but on bad days they're nice to have. Especially on the bus. And I usually wear a hood to narrow my field of vision. Other than that, nothing special... if things get really bad, I just go home! :P

I don't really have anything like this. There isn't really anything I take everywhere, and I'm not sure it would make much difference. Listening to music can help, so sometimes I like to take my MP3 player, but I can't really listen to music during the situations that tend to cause me the most stress, which is mostly talking to people.
I used to take it on the buss to school (even though my parents wouldn't have allowed it) because it made the ride much more bearable. But now I don't have a bus to ride.

Pens, that I can take the caps on and off with my thumb. I guess that counts as a stim :)

Either my laptop or some variety of paperwork. It depends on where I'm going or what I'm doing.

Reading allows me to shut the environment out. But I do not take special objects.

If there is anything in my pockets, then it is going to get scrunched into a unintelligible mess. Otherwise, I wear my hematite gemstone. It is to take away shyness and negative energy, but I think I filled it up on the first day I had it! Elastic bands help me cope with strangers, iPod helps in general.
