So many people here are lonely and isolated...and looking for friends. The best friends are those who you can connect with on a
regular basis, not just on the Internet BUT, THOSE CLOSE TO YOUR HOME.

Yet, how is anyone expected to "find" those new friends close to your hometown when no one wants to be honest and direct on your Avatar where you are located? Even a general location, like a major city you live nearby, if one doesn't want to be specific, is better than the silly things most of you list as your location.

If you really want to find friends...others who share your challenges living with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome...and feelings of loneliness, then why not make it easier for others to discover that you may, in fact, live near them?

If you are truly lonely and isolated and looking for friends, then how many of you will go into your Avatar and change your location to a major city near your home so we can find you should you be hiding in plain sight?

I lived in the adirondacks for years while at school and much of my family is from Tupper Lake if you are farmilair with the park.

Woodsman 25, I spoke to you a few months ago. I told you that I live near the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
Remember, you told me that you were not a baseball fan. Well, actually...there is nothing sweeter than Derek Jeter!

I also, live not far away from the Kelberman Center for Autism...a residential and treatment facility for children and adults with
Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. At the Kelberman Center for Autism, there is a support group for young people...you have to
be age 15 and older to participate and it meets on Tuesday evening at 5:15pm.

I am also, starting a local chapter for GRASP...a much better support group for those of us on the Spectrum...I found out about
GRASP through their website...www.grasp.org

I have a nephew who just started college at the State University of New York at Oswego. He has no trouble getting the girls to
like him!

I'm just south of Elmira NY by about 12 miles. I don't like groups, aspie or non. But I can understand loneliness too and the need for others to seek others. I just prefer a one on one and I suppose you have to do the group thing to get to this point. But even a one on one is overbearing at times and it does take a special relationship to hold up under those settings.

I rather not give out any locations more exact than what I have now on a public forum. But I will message someone their location if I'm interested in meeting them and that's what I expect someone else to do as well.
