I've never really liked shopping for new clothes, mostly because they're so hard to find! (Not to mention being in a large department store is almost unbearable, ick!).

Clothes have to be the right texture, the right size, not be too tight, etc. Then of course tags are a big no-no; they drive me insane, so they get cut off as soon as I bring the clothes home.

On the other hand, the clothes I do own are all things I really like, and in some cases, have owned for years. They're comfortable, they fit me, and I'll wear them almost to the point of rags.

Any other picky clothing shoppers out there?
Don't be shy now. :D

i am very picky on clothes... i do not go to the stores with mom since i overload in those situations very easily, i am auditory hypersensitive... me and you are the opposite, right texture right size but very tight, i like tight thingys... tags drive me nuts... problem is mom never buys me tight thingys...

maybe i should become a latex weirdo, thats nice and tight!

oh yeah....I hate shopping for new clothes...it is hellish for many different reasons...
That is why I only go to thrift stores. There, I find good quality soft already-broken-in clothes..A much wider variety that meets my rugged-individualist sense of style....and it is cheaper and so on and so forth...

I don't like shopping to clothes, mostly because I have enough clothes, I don't think I need any more. My mum however occasionally makes me buy new clothes. Some of my clothes I have had for years and I normally wear them until they fall apart or my mum throws them away. I don't understand "fashion".

I'm a very picky clothing shopper, but only because I'm very thin, and it's hard to find clothes in the right size for me. In any typical men's clothing store, the larger sizes far outnumber the smaller sizes. And if I do find a garment in a small size, it needs to be the "right" fit for me. I wouldn't want to wear something that makes me look too skinny.

But when I do find something that fits me well, it's pure magic. :)

you ought to try vintage shops..they often have really skinny sizes...either because people were skinner back then, or the reall skinny clothes got worn out less frequently.

Uh, I'm terrible with shopping...

I can't wear cap sleeves because there's a seam in the armpit of those stupid shirts. I can't wear tight pants. I can't wear tight sleeves. I feel stupid in the cropped sweaters and loud prints that seem to be fashionable nowadays.

And nobody makes clothes for my build! I have big shoulders and muscular arms, so I can't fit in a small, but I have a very small chest, so the larger sizes just hang off my front. Or they're waaaaaaay too low-cut, which I can't exactly pull off. And why do they make pants so damn long? The average female is supposed to be 5'4'', for heaven's sake!

I hate shopping for clothes.

Yep, clothes shopping sucks. I've been in need of various items for months now, but just can't find anything I like. Plus now I'm shopping for a wedding dress. I've seen hundreds and liked maybe 4. I shall have to take the pics of those few to a dressmaker and have one made.

I absolutely HATE shopping for clothes. Apart from being overweight which means I have limited choice, I also can't wear things that are too high on the neck, long sleeves, too tight, itchy, or just don't feel 'right'. It's a nightmare.

I tend to keep clothes until they fall apart and don't have many at all. At home I only ever wear pyjamas, I only get dressed if I'm going out anywhere.

I'm worried at the moment because my jeans are falling apart and I can't find any more that fit nicely. They're so patched up I don't think they'll take any more. I HATE it when my favourite clothes wear out. I only like boot-cut jeans because they're flattering, all the jeans I can find at the moment are those awful skinny jeans (that don't fit anyway) or granny jeans that go in at he bottom (my pet hate in trousers, narrow at the bottom of the legs). Fashion is so annoying at times, I can't find jeans that are actually flattering to most people because they're not fashionable right now. The fact that they suit everyone and and are the most flattering style doesn't seem to matter. Hmmph!!

sorry for ranting on your thread, shopping is one of my pet rants

Oh, and don't get me started on the actual 'shopping' experience. Crowds, irritating mall music that's always played at just the right pitch to give me a migraine, pushing, shoving, queues, carrying stuff and negotiating my way through narrow aisles with bulky bags. Arrrrgghh!! !

I actually like shopping for clothes, trying out new shirts, smelling the different colognes. Not so much being around the people. What I dislike is not finding something that will fit me or that I like. The crowds though, especially during crazy sales, AHHHHHHH!! ! Especially with my sensitivity to smell, ugh. Some people just don't know when to stop with their fragrances or when to know to put some on.

I tend to wear the same type of clothings (it's been criticized many times). Usually they're polo shirts, long sleeve buttoned shirts, khakis, and dark jeans. That's my yearly outfit. I cannot wear a t-shirt out in public, sandals, a baseball cap, shorts, or sleeve-less shirts. That's just a "no" for me.

Does anyone else have a favorite shirt/pant. that you just want to wear everyday? I do. Certain times when I cannot find a particular shirt that I want, I won't even go out. :(

Yep, the jeans that are falling to bits. And I'd love it if it was acceptable to go out in pyjamas
