Hackers need to possess certain qualities to be who they are. They need to have an intense, all-consuming interest in furthering their knowledge of computer systems; they must have a lack of social understanding that makes them somewhat aloof to the proximity of their acts to more visceral crimes like trespassing and breaking and entering; and they must have analytic skill. The average script kiddie is some nubbish NT teenager who merely wants to show off or pwn his best friend's box for lulz.

An aspie who chooses to hack will have all the innate qualities needed to be successful in his endeavors except for one: proggy writing. You see, the elite of hackerdom share their knowledge in the form of proggies or 'sploits. To be successful at writing progs, one must intentionally use atrocious grammar and capitalization: "NeW Pr0g P\/\/nz n00bz!! !!!1" This skill can be readily learned, however, and soon enough the aspie hacker will have joined the 1337.

Has anyone here been tempted to try hacking or know an aspie hacker? I think my hypothesis is sound.

No, but I became interested in hackers themselves. It was an obsession for a while, and I was part of the Hackers Dot Com BBS, as a social thing. Not only was it my first BBS, but also the first where I used the name Quatermass, as that was one of my obsessions at the time. I quit over politics.
