I'm probably just gonna go sit outside and drink a red bull.

I dont really enjoy doing anything like parties or clubs unless im drinking and I dont drink anymore so yeah.. boooring.

Being around a lot of people enjoying themselves makes me feel really lonely and or exluded.

I don't have the NYE-related sensory issues.

Party at a friend's house. I know the house well, I know the people well, they do the same thing each year..it makes it easier to cope with, though we're always the first to rush for the door and freedom after midnight..

I'd be working till one AM.

Back in Montana, I be with my family or at home in my own house when I lived on my own. I have never been to any New Year's parties. I only had one which was my family only and that was in 1995. I don't think I ever had problems with New year's Parties because my family never went to any and we didn't have any in our house. I think my brothers did one year and I didn't like it because of too many kids. All the noise and that means moving stuff around and making messes and not cleaning it up.

I have to be at work at 10:00 am on New Year's Day, so I'll have to get to sleep right after midnight.

Until then, I'll just be watching TV. The Air Farce Chicken-Cannon target of the year, Rudolph's Shiny New Year, the last Adult Swim Futurama episodes...

I don't have sensory issues, I just suck at talking to people at parties.

Yeah, it sucks that Futurama won't be on Adult Swim anymore. But aren't they moving to Comedy Central, with new episodes no less?

As a young kid we had family get togethers (dinner out and party at someone's house). As a teen it was boring because I wasn't allowed out and I spent it with Dick Clark. As a single I went to my bar. Married before kid, same thing. After kid, spend it online.

Tonight, my husband is officiating at a wedding. I'm not sure if I want to go or not. It's going to be 20 people that I don't know and a small apartment with my son. It may be really hard for him. I want to go and support my husband, be his designated driver. But I don't want to put my son through that. Maybe the nintendo ds until he falls asleep?

New Year, New Topic

My son was born on New Year's Eve, sixteen years ago, so I have not done much going out since then, but again I never was one for parties. Too much activity. If I went out at all, it was to be a flower on the wall. My son is putting in a few hours at work to help then out and then he is getting together with a few friends. My daughter is too young yet for the party scene, thank goodness, and she and I will be perhaps watching New Yearsy stuff on TV. I must go and bake a birthday cake for my son now.

Best Wishes for the New Year. :D

Mum has always caused arguments with all of her relatives when drunk so she has no one to invite around for parties [a good thing],am use a pair of the best of the best ear plugs [Laser Lites] with a pair of ear defenders over the top-and also opiates and regular meds to help with coping with the fireworks, screaming etc from outside.
Have a cat who is behaviorally autistic [in avatar],and other peoples' parties and fireworks make her sensory problems go crazy to,it's torture to her.

I'm spending my New Year at home with my family. I can't see the point in going out as it'll be uncomfortable. So I'm going to have a nice evening at home.
