Luckily I've found the #1 stress reliever currently available in the world:

BEER :D

Diet and exercise are probably pretty good too. Never tried that though.

i try carefully to anticipate which situations are going to stress me out and try to measure out my exposure to a 'managable' level (ie it will piss me off and disorientate me but i, hopefully) wont break down or freak out too publicly.

for me, one of my greatest releases comes from intense physical activity. so either i go climb or do trapeze or if that isn't practical at that time i focus on how much i am going to enjoy that activity next time i engage in it... and luckily that isn't usually very long a wait.

that or listening to music.

Stress is a fact of life...one simply has to learn coping mechanisms to deal with it. Everyone is unique so what works for one
person may not work well for you. Take a walk, listen to music, take a warm bath are just a few examples to relieve stress.

One thing that always works in stressful situations is deep breathing exercises. At the first sign of anxiety and frustration, take in
a deep breath and blow all of that air out. Do it several times...to relax the tension in your body.

Exercise and a good diet work for me. And basically being unbelievably boring for a 21 year old. I take long walks, go down the gym, drink as little alcohol as possible, (never smoke or do drugs anymore) eat lots of fruit and vegetables.

Personally I like being on a gluten free diet but I don't know if i want to promote that since i don't really understand the science. Up to you.

I also had a bit of a spring clean of my social circle and only see people who I know I'll feel relaxed around.

I find that listening to calm music helps a lot. So far it's my best coping strategy. Have you tried that approach?
