Any Idiosyncracies that you have that younhaven't heard of from other Aspies?

For example, one of mine:

I cannot watch a movie on a DVD player that has one of those digital line displays. You know, like some alarm clocks, where all the numbers are made up of these little dash things?

Like so:

_

|

Etc.

Whenever I see a display like that, I have an obsessive tendency to take the lines apart in my mind and reconstruct them to form as many closed shapes as possible(like 8s and 0s). I know of no one else who does this.

What other unique quirks are there out there?

You mean a 7 (or 14) segment display style, like:
Code:
     _     _   _
  |   | .  _|  _|
  |   | .  _| |_

Why not just cover it up? I sometimes cover power lights on TVs/monitors/computers if I find them distracting

Yep. Exactly like those. My folks never covered it up when I was a kid because they didn't see the point. These days, I tend to watch movies on my Xbox 360 or through my computer, so it's not an issue unless I'm at a friend's place and they have a display like that. Never asked them to cover it up out of embarrassment.

While riding in a car, using invisible lines that extend at the angle my outer 4 toes make on each foot, and lifting them in coincidence with telephone poles, or if I'm really bored, car tires. Don't so it so much when I'm driving, but I did it when I was young and still do it, since its in my shoes its secret :P

Your Aspie score: 158 of 200, neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 44 of 200
You are very likely a Doggy

I squint, especially at night, at lights making rays shoot out of the lights.

I change the way I walk all the time without realizing it. This started when I was a kid. I always noticed small details about people - the way they walked, the way their shoes wore out at the heel (to the inside or outside), how their hands looked when they held stuff, etc. Combine that with copying and viola - lifelong subconscious habit. I'm so weird lol.

It's not an aspie ideosyncracy but;

the major scale of western music doesn't sound entirely natural to me.

I always try to 'fit' or align my mouse arrow. God that's annoying. And especially when I am stressed out and have to write a program or something... You can imagine what is it that I am doing instead :D It just reminded me of it..
