Do you pat people?
I pat people.

Im attractive, and cheerful, and helpful, and productive and ....careful of and at others (it's how I cope with stress, and loss, and hopelessness)-and this tends to make me well liked and appreciated-which only masks my symptoms, ultimately making me miserable.

I need to pat certain people in passing, on occassion. It is sooooo weird. Pat. Pat. Pat.

Even just reading about the remote possibility of being "patted" makes me squirm inside.

oh....I only pat Flakey...nice firm pats....and I HATE being patted....especially very lightly and unexpectedly...There is a very AS-seeming lady I work with and she seems to like patting people and she patted me this very night and it kinda sorta caused a mini-meltdown...in fact I am in the back right now because of it as we speak...

Working on it...it is really a combination of a buncha things and that was sort the trigger that set me off...I am just sorta weepy and my motor reflexes are real jabby at the moment..nothing major
....The lady..cooincidentally enough...said that she often feel the need to pat people in order to comfort herself....funny....

I am just more sensitive than I have any right to be...

She asked me if i wanted her to put the orange juice back in the fridge (I was making mimosas) and I mini-screamed as I accidentally dumped my half-prepared drink in the sink

Been there- you will get through it- exhausting exercise always helps me- do you get physical exertion in your daily life? Just some friendly unsolicited advice! :)

Yes, like that...
Sometimes I either need to feel a connection or I feel the other person is looking sad or lost; and I just respond to it that way. No ones EVER said anything about it. And there are certainly people who are top on my admiration list who I would NEVER do that to for risk of offense.

The world is so 'socially tuned' that it is my way of saying, "I like you, but I love THIS person'

eeeeeeeeeeewww, that makes me think of when deacons or 'off feeling' males in authority put their hand on my shoulder from behind. Like their sucking out my goodness or poisoning my purity or cursing me. Sometimes good feeling people do this and that is alright. Otherwise...

yuk!

How do you know whom to touch and whom not to? Is it an aura, a "vibe," some kind of body language, what????

Sometimes I have the urge to poke people, but only people I know . . .
