Mississippi is largely being ignored

I guess you have to run around shooting people to get aid.

Mississippi isn't a dense urban center. That's probably why: fewer people in close proximity.

I did see a news feature on how Mississippi was affected, so they're not completely being shafted.

While there has been a great deal of property damage in Ms., there doesn't seem to have been anywhere near as much loss of life. I think it is a less dense, more middle class population in the area who were able to evacuate themselves.

That really blows.

Anyway, Mississippi is getting about as much food and water as New Orleans. Just because you don't see anything on the news doesn't mean they aren't getting the same amount of as little help as the government will issue.

Everybody's equal here! Except some people are more equal than others.

That is not nice!

Biloxi was destroyed. New Orleans was flooded. Most everyone who's died in Mississippi died during the storm I believe. New Orleans is still in peril. That's mostly why you hear more about New Orleans. And plus more people are concerned about New Orleans and the lack of aid that was very apparent. It made a bigger news story. Thus, we see more of it.
