If you had your choice of experiencing one weather condition for an entire year, which one of these two would it be?

Wow that took a lot of thought. I picked sun because although I like rain I don't think I could spend a year in the rain. I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder and I think no sun for a year would send me into a depression I could not overcome. Probably why I have trouble leaving Colorado with it's 360 days of sun a year. :)

Living in Florida, you learn to hate the sun. Although I'd be really depressed all year (winter depression), I'd prefer rain.

If the hot sun is bearable, I'd take that. I like to bike ride, and this would only extend bike-riding season!

After some deliberation, I finally picked RAIN, as long as it is only drizzling because I am very fond of the sun but I feel "dried out" with too much of it.

But the rain would have to be a very light drizzle.

I hate heat. In fact, I think it gets too hot here in Minnesota

I hate hot weather, too. I like it cold and rainy, or even better, cold and snowy. My ideal temperature is about 20F :P The only good thing about summer is the spectacular thunderstorms. I love watching thunderstorms

I don't mind either kind of weather. I know how to cope with the rain so that rainy days are my favorite times to go places that are normally busy, such as Disneyland (that rocked!). I am best suited to extremely hot weather. The temerature gets to be 110F here and I don't feel any need to take special percautions. Right now, I get cold at 75F.

I live in SC where it's sunny most of the time during the summer, with humidity levels similar to that of a sweaty armpit..... I would much prefer drizzling rain, and a constant temp of @ 70F (20C) perhaps with fog as well. Barring that I know of no places like that on the planet, what's the cost of living like in the Pacific Northwest???

I was going to pick the drizzle, until I noticed that the first option was bearable hot sun. I'd certainly have no problem with being able to wear light clothes and go swimming all year round. I'd just have to make sure I had A/C.

All you might really need is an open window and maybe a small fan.

i voted sun, 'cause since it's bearable, i think i can live with it all year long..on the other hand, if all it did was rain every day i'd probably get in a depressed state..i wouldn't care for it at all..while i might complain about the sun after a while if it's out all the time, at least i wouldn't get depressed about it..

My response was based on the same idea, plus the sun is bearable, not unbearable. If I don't see the sun for a couple of days I can start to feel physically sick. I also run at a cold temperature; opressive heat to one person feels more like mother nature giving me a comforting hug.

Yes, St. Louis gets hot and humid during the summers. This summer was aweful. We always have a couple people die during the summer from heat stroke. Usually old people.

For the most part, I hate the humidity more than the heat. Well, I mean heat with humidity. The humidity is a killer.
