For psychological torment I want to sue most of my classmates in grade 9, a few in grade 10, my mother, my father, lots of my schoolmates in grades 7 and 8, and 1 of them in grade 12.

Your turn! :D

No, lawyers cost to much. I just wish bad things would happen to them.

Then yeah, if I could come with a legally solid argument, then sure I'd sue. Unfortunately I'm much more successful than most of the people who tormented me in high school and before. All i would get would be their trailer homes and rusted out Chevys. I guess the lesson here is that the best revenge is living well.

The only people I ever sued were the owners of a vacuum cleaner company. (I won the case.) The salesman dropped one off for me to try. They were supposed to come back and pick it up in a few days, but they never did.

As it turned out, they were running a scam. They moved out of state and left a huge bill with a finance company, which could not be collected.

I still have the vacuum cleaner. Actually, I offered it to the finance company, but they declined.

only thing that kept me from too much teasing is cos I was so big, not just fat, I mean huge.

Sometimes size does matter. :)

Lawsuits should be used as a last resort, when you are wronged. Only in America do people sue each other for anything and everything. Sad.

I don't believe in suing or demanding money settlements for emotional wounds. I was in a car accident that wasn't my fault (the guy ran a red light and T-boned me going 45 mph). At first I tried calling an ambulance chaser (injury lawyer) and then stopped. I don't believe in the exorbitant percentages they collect for what they do. I don't really understand profiting from tragedy. I was offered $5k over and above the medical and property damages. But because we had already spent the property damage settlement on the credit card (hospital bills upfront) , we had to use the pain and suffering for a replacement car.
So, I had nothing to show from the wreck and a lot of emotional pain and physical pain that lingers.

It bothers me when people simply answer that I should sue the school district or obtain a lawyer to threaten them. I want my son to get a good education from people who care. You can't legally force people to care. And lawsuits waste time and money. So, the school district doesn't have the money to fund proper training or to hire good people, so suing them for money is going to help how?

I'm sorry, I just can't stand the overly sue-happy society I live in. People are walking on eggshells because they're afraid of being sued.

I have been involved in legal suits, on both ends. But I never lost. I had one woman who tried to sue me for comments I made to her online made in response to her comments about me. Really stupid woman. I just counter sued and she dropped the whole thing.

The other times were having to sue educational institutions for failing to give me accomodations. So many people just don't believe Autism is real for some reason. I don't like public educational institutions that take government money but then refuse to provide people with disabilities accomodations to get an equal education.

If an institution is trying there best, I will not push them to comply with ADA. But when they have Millions for football and golden parachute deals for executives, they got money to hire a special education teacher, or part time aide.

I really would like to sue Jack in the Box for their food poising of me, and cost $3,000 in medical bills. But I don't have that kind of money.

I also wanted to sue my last landlord. She allowed four barking dogs and cat to move in next door to me. The walls are paper thin, and these dogs would bark and howl all day every day. Then she stole my deposit. After giving me a check for my deposit back, and doing the walk through, she canceled the check, and made up a story about a sponge clogging the toliet, which was odd considering I didn't use a sponge on the toilet, but a toilet shrub brush, and toilet flushed just fine the day I left when she looked at the apartment. I called animal control on them, because she rented to 4 dogs and a cat, and here, that is a non-commerical kennel, which is illegal.

Yes, I'd like to sue myself. My toughest critic.

The reason Americans take that attitude is because all they want is the money, and they'll do anything to get it. "Sad" is an understatement.

Yes, I agree about the last resort - and I have been pushed to that point more than once. But when I do it, money isn't the primary object. I go to obtain another solution.
