I find it a bit depressing that the General Autism Discussion forum gets about 5 times more activity than almost any other forum in the entire place. Now I understand people posting here that have questions or concerns about AS or autism, but c'mon, people! Those other forums are there for a reason. Half the time I go into the Random Discussion forum and it's only me browsing it while 8 people are in the General Autism forum.

Sorry if this comes off as accusing, but I get bored. I don't want to talk about my AS all the time; it makes me quite uncomfortable, actually.

This is the only place I really talk about my AS, so I go to the first forum on the list or click for new posts, otherwise I post less elsewhere because I belong to other forums and go to talk about my hobbies in other places.

Having said that, I am finding my way round here more and reading in more topic areas just lately.

I think it's because, since this forum gets the most activity, if people have questions they will most likely post here as they are more likely to get more responses...or faster responses than if they posted in other forums.

Think of it like a house.
If some one comes over people in that house hang out in the kitchen and family room a lot. Not so much in the front room or formal dining room. Everyone visits the bathroom but usually do not linger. Occationally you need to dig up something in the basement. The bedrooms are not visited by others much and are used mostly for changing and sleeping.

The General Autism forum is the kitchen

In total agreement, what a great way of putting it, always has been my favorite place...

I drop in several forums. Only one I don't is the Haven.

This forum is like "Meezer Central" on my Siamese site. It is the main forum for discussing Autism/AS topics, just as the "Meezer" (Siamese) Central Board is the main site for discussing everything cat related.

I also frequently read at Current events and Parents forum. I don't like the overwhelming number of games going on at Random.

I frequent The Haven and the Friendship and the Members Discussion forums, but I don't post in them because they're so slow.

I go to the parent's forum and this one..same reason as everyone it seems...it gets more traffic and well, honestly, maybe if "I" did MY PART and went to others, then the OTHERS would get more traffic! haha
