Ok picture your own perfect autistic house, perfect alarm system, a sensory room, a therupetic pool, light dimmers in every room, certian sound proof rooms, certain padded rooms haha, any robot servants haha,,, anything you want, even add new rooms or build on to it if you want, all paid for by the government......................
but the only down side is you don't pick the location, you have to let the government know exactly where your going, and when your be back even if its to the supermarket, you have to let all the neighbors and town you live in know your diagnosis's, and before you decide to add a new family member you have to let the government be able to inspect your lifestyle to see if your ready, can only have a limit of 5 people living in the house(or your kicked automatically), only allowed to have 3 visitors at a time, and after you buy this house, you can't move so the government knows exactly where you are 8O ..... now question is would you still buy that autistic house?

Personally I would still buy that house haha, make it my own way, wouldnt care if the everybody knew my diagnosis's, or the government basically monitored how i lived my life, or that i can't move, i mean i would be happy having my own nice peaceful autistic house :P .

The question I must ask is, do I own the house or does the government.

If I owned it I would tear it down carefully, get dismotivated half way through, start again when I get cold from the missing windows, sell everything, take the money and build a smaller, but more comfortable house with no restrictions...

If the government owns it, no

I have serious issues with government; I want nothing to do with it. I want nothing from the government, and I want the government to leave me entirely alone. Aside from that, I am unconcerned with people knowing I'm mentally peculiar.

I'm already fitting my cabin out similarly to how you describe. No pool, but there is going to be a sensory deprivation room, and I already have a Roomba (i.e. a "robot servant", so to speak) and an alarm system; I'm working on the video surveillance system.

Good fortune,

[voice Steve Harley:
my only vice is the fantastic prices i charge for being eaten alive]

how much did you say this house were worth?
you sure? all government-funded?
do it, give it some time, sell it cash to any possible mole

take the money & run ... sorry, wander

off to some gloriously (psycho)tropical beach where cheaply
paid workforce will see you a wonderful&ly generous client &
get yourself an even better one

if this works, repeat ... have a nice life, reach 3200
(jeez you could buy yourself a straightjacket)

á bientôt mademoiselle, in yet another millennium

I think it's unrealistic to ask the government to know exactly where you are at all times (Maybe just a log book that the government would check every month and a silent alarm at the doors to confirm the log book's entry?), but I would agree to everything else. I would love that house though, because I would never fear moving again (I've been forced to move against my will six times in my fifteen years of life) and I could be whoever I wanted to be in there without freting about the neighbours finding out, as they already know. Plus it would be free, which would make things so much easier *dreams*
Too bad that isn't real, or I would completely go live there!

i'd rather just buy my own house. Probably wouldn't build any padded rooms, though.

No way! I wouldn't want anyone to keep tabs on me like that, whether it's the government or my boyfriend. I would buy my own house and make it really unique and fun to live in.

For LFA the monthly government money is pretty good but all the rules, whoa! I want to jump through their hoops because I like the idea of my daughter getting some good lifelong LFA foster siblings but I need to find some others to help me not screw up.
