I think it's not a face; it's a representation of a face.

I also think it is a characature rather than a realistic likeness.

I'd consider it a face. Just because it's of a fictional character doesn't mean it's not a face.

I think it's cute. Reminds me of Hoggle from 'Labyrinth'. Man, I loved that movie as a kid! :)

It's not scary, but I don't like it. Too many parts that aren't smooth.

I find it interesting because the features are very diufferent.. and to see things like what the hair is made of.. pointy ears, snails on a straw hat and black dots around eyes and other things too.

I fotgot to mention the puppet strings too!

It looks like something out of a fantasy novel or role playing game and it has what resembles a bird's nest for hair. If I were to give it a name, I'd call it "Morning Wood".

I'd go so far as to call it comforting, rather than difficult to look at.

I think it looks slightly annoying and would have it removed if it was ever put in my garden.

Yes. The photograph only shows us half of the art piece - he's looking at the female hobbit puppet suspended in front of him. You must be an art major.

Moderately cute, but not human.

Face off topic

Trolling for comments? this face jumps right into yours. This looks like a sort of Gnome or elf. Is it a hobbit? :?

It does not look too threatening, but not aesthetically pleasing.

It's mostly cartoony and unrealistic, so it's pretty clear that it's a fictional character. Overall, it's not unpleasant to look at, but I wouldn't want it in my garden either.
