People will remember an ad here for a movie, Billy the Kid. It's a documentary about a high school student with Asperger's. I just found it's in town and will leave tomorrow. Not even here a week. :x I'm going to try and see it tonight or tomorrow.

Here's a link to a review. Though it's more like a story about the making of it. I don't care for the pov of the director and she's the one who made the movie. ohwell, it looks like a good movie anyhow Tucson Weekly movie review

I can't believe either no one has seen this or that they don't care? I'm going to try and see it today, the last day it's in town.

I'm really interested in this, but haven't seen it posted to play anywhere. I'm going to do a search for it.

Apparently he was diagnosed after the movie was made. I wish I could see it at noon but it runs too closely to my son coming home. :x So, I have to sneak out tonight when My husband is home.

I saw it. It's a good movie. Billy reminds me of my son, the darting eyes, the nonstop chatter about his own interests. The very young appearance. He does make a real attempt to be friendly and interesting.
I think the photography could have been improved, by the last 3rd of the movie I was getting tired of the close ups. I mean a couple of times I had to look away, just too close. Then some drunk people were laughing at the not-funny parts.
Documentaries are always touted as being objective but they aren't. She's telling a fixed story about Billy and his infatuation with Heather. I think she should have left it a bit more open-ended.

I'd like to rent that movie, when it comes out on DVD. I can't sit in a dark room, for more than 20 minutes, without falling asleep.
