I *HATE* this practice of sticking music over people talking in Youtube videos. Specifically, I'm trying to watch that crazy Tom Cruise video, but I can't process him talking and the stupid music at the same time. I suspect a lot of us have this issue, right? I see this all the time on Youtube, and besides being tacky it makes it so I have to use an insane amount of brain power to try to comprehend what the person is saying.

I agree, I like to watch the collections of funniest simpsons moments, but it seems like about 1/2 of them have some random, idiotic music placed over it for no apparent reason. The funniest part is usually the dialouge, yet it is very difficult to hear it beneath the music.

I agree, I click on a particular video to watch (and hear) the video, not someones bad choice of music. If I want to listen to music, I'll listen to the music of my choice. Maybe some people want to impress us with their editing skills. If so it's time they realise I know the editing is simple stuff and I'm not impressed anyway. Leave the sound as it was!

Do you guys all have trouble listening to voices and having music playing at the same time too? Or is it just that you don't like their selection of music? (I'm both issues :D ) I can't focus in on a conversation very well if there's another conversation or complex sound going on at the same time-although I don't normally have that problem when watching shows or movies, which often use background music. Maybe because it's handled by professionals who actually know how to score stuff :)
