They are two actually:
- the fact that I can't go out from my home if I don't feel everything is in perfect order (that is in MY order)
- the fact I don't want other people in my home cause I'm afraid they could move my things from "their" place and at the same time they could notice the maniacal and innatural order that is in every room
I worked on both the obsession, trying to change myself, but it was too hard and painful to me !

it's your home, msmartie - have it how you want!

i don't do the uncluttered look (icollect far too many things), but everything is EXACTLY where it should be. and woe betide someone who moves a cushion ( barely wait for them to stand up to leave before i'm putting the cushions back into place!).

Yikes! That is how I am! I can't go to bed at night unless the cushions are in their proper place and the floors are empty of toys, shoes, etc., the chairs are pushed into the table... And yes, I fix the cushions every time someone moves them all day long.

My house is complete and utter chaos. But if I want to do something on my computer - the desktop has to be just so.... Anyone who tampers with my desktop suffers the wrath of me! The same with painting. The room, the music, the paints have to be exactly right, or nothing will happen - on that note, nothing's really happened on that front for quite a few years now - things have not been 'just right'. I've just moved my computer into another room, and am finding it very hard to do my work. I am procrastinating horribly at the moment. Must be the change!

I organize the entire house. Big difficulty is: I live with my parents and 4 siblings (all under 8) so I clean a lot. I especially organize my room and bathroom. I also organize all of my computer files. At school, I am disorganized.

I'm somewhat that way too. It could be OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) instead of/along with AS, something some non-AS people have too.

Absolutely yes! It is OCD, but along with my social difficulties, it can make at least "traits of asperger". Moreover my son is PDD. It can't be a case...
