I am not a good writer.... so you guys ask me questions that will help you answer the big queston here...

What do you think i am...

LFA, MFA, or HFA

Aspie is not even on the list since my doctor has me dxed as PDD-NOS

DO NOT VOTE IN THE POLL TILL YOU ARE PRETTY SURE OF WHAT I AM!! !

let the questions begin!

I voted MFA for myself...

everyone else reading subtract one vote from MFA to get the numbers of other people only.

No offense but I doubt you're going to get any accuracy because no one knows you, especially not based on this one post, and this is a really uninteresting question to most people since no one's as interested in you as you.

I am almost constantly stimming in one way or another... the only time i am not stimming is when i am comforted in some way...

I have so many sensory issues it is not funny... I cannot stand when someone gently touches me or that "pat on the back" thing is horrid for me... makes me jump... also when you touch me and i dont know i spazz...

I only accept deep pressure hugs and so a lot of older family like grandmas are not allowed to hug me due to the fact they are so weak... and when i receive a light pressure hug i tend to let go and start stimming...

How are your self help skills, even before you were wheelchair bound, like how were your self help skills other beside the other conditions you have?(sorry if that sounded or came out wrong) I would say though after reading your posts, you seem high functioning to me, with moderate functioning days. The main reason im moderate functioning due to my self help skills, on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the best, I would say maybe 2 or 3.

i was maybe a 2 or 3 for self help... i never did anything on my own... always forget to flush the toilet... always forget to wash hands... never been able to get dressed on my own, always needed help... never say i am hungry unless someone puts food in front of me or says "breakfast is ready"

dont think there are many other self help skills out there...

like what other self help skills do you speak of... i am really bad for self help...

Like for me, the simplist tasks are the worst, like brushing teeth, doing hair(impossible for me haha) keeping clean, yea dressing myself i still have probs on haha, i cant think of any else at the moment, my brain is slowly starting to walk away from my body haha, i'll post more later when i can think about it alittle more. Quick question, why did your doctor diagnose with pddnos, what did he say you had? I was originally diagnosed with low functioning pddnos, the doctor who diagnosed me later found out that she only diagnose aspergers, so pddnos was more severe. I went and talked to her a couple months back, and she explained, that she would def have diagnosed me with classic autism to begin with just wasn't very educated in that field, just in aspergers. Which i cant figure out how u can be educated in one but not the other haha.

brushing teeth is one i always forget to do and cannot do since i always gag on the toothpaste... i never do my hair because i cant fele where hairline is... nor can i wash myself correctly, (used to be able to do everything except my hair... now i can barely do most of my washing tasks) keeping clean is a real hard problem for me... so i think i am right with you for self help...

Wait, you forget to do? or cant do? or have problems doing? forgetting isnt self help skills, its memory skills.

I dont forget... i just plain cant... because i CANT remember to do these basic tasks... i have always needed cues and reminders on this stuff... and brushing my teeth the fine motor no longer exists, so now we just do a special chemical wash that the dentist makes, its just like mouthwash but i still need the cues to do it otherwise i dont do it...

Hmm, interesting, what about socializing in public areas, do you stim a lot, do you need constant supervision? Now ask these questions before everything happened to you with the other disability. Like could you be left alone growing up? My parents even took off the lock off my door growing up due to how bad my self injurious behaviors were, it sucked, i wasn't allowed to be home alone until I think was about 17, unfortunely.

See i dont understand that pddnos label at all, it can be more severe, can be more mild, makes no sense.

So why didnt he just diagnosis you with classic autism in the first place, thats why i dont understand? Somebody said the difference between pddnos and other diagnosis''s is that pddnos you have "traits of autism" but not fit the whole criteria for autism itself. I've met kids though who have the diagnosis of pdd-nos but more severe then a low functioning autistic. Its weird.
