Stimulating yourself off of your forehead???
I put this on another site, didnt get much replies, so since I was wondering again, since I do it constantly, why not put it on wp as well.
Ok i think everybody already knows i volunteer at childrens specialized hospital, i love it, best thing ever! Anyways the other night we had a spa night, and we give them massages, hand lotion, flavored chapstick, and fans, vibrating massagers, the works. Well anyways, there was a fan, you push it, it makes this nice tune, and has this weird texture bottom thing. Anyways one of the little boy whos autistic, loved the feeling of the soft foam fan against his forehead everytime i did it, he would giggle, like crazy .
Now its funny i do this too, love putting certian textures against my forehead, like cold, or if i put the ends of a kooshball against my forehead i automatically start giggling, and become very stimulated, and giddy! I notice alot of kids do it, not just me, some with even brain damage, but it always got me wondering why that happens ? I also wondered if it was normal for ASDs, i know a lot of autistics have this especially on the mf/lf side, because i work around them allll the time, and fit right on in lol . I also take hard objects like books or something and headbang against it, to get that same feeling, idk why it happens, cant figure that out, like just yesterday I kept hitting my head, not hurtful just enough to get me to giggle uncontrollably, then i was happy for a while afterwards haha.
Now my question is, does anybody else here put weird textures, or things against their forehead to make themselves giggle uncontrollably or headbang to make themselves feel good?

I like the feel of my itchy wool tam on my forehead, and I will then scratch and feel a sense of relief. Sometimes I get the sense that the endorphins are released and then my whole self feels good, or else at least tensions are reduced. But you find textures across the skin there humourous. Interesting.
Thanks for sharing, Age1600. Amazing are the insights of young adults.
(I think there is a sort of spelling checker here now. )

I like the feeling of cool, smooth things against my forehead. They make me feel calm, though, not giggly.

I do this, only with my lips. My lips seem to be the most sensitive part of my body, so whenever I had a new or unfamiliar object in my hands it automatically seems to make it's way straight to my lips so I can do some exploring. I didn't become concious of this until a couple years ago, since then I try to do it only when in the company of people who already know that I'm weird and love me anyway. My hands seem really inadequate at exploring objects. I use my teeth a lot, too. My hands don't seem well equipped enough to figure out what something is made of sometimes (is it glass or plastic?) so I'll just clink my teeth against it to figure it out. Sounds weirder typed out.

when im upset, i tend to ruffle my eyebrows incessantly... and pat my head and lean into something like a wall or huddle on my bed with my head down, close to my knees.
i know there are lots of pressure points along these areas that help alleviate headaches and sinus aches.... so maybe there is some physiological phenomenon to back up as to why these pressures ect feel good. idk
