so i got meltdown again and got restained i think i got it coz i got badmood at morning too i wouldnt need anyone close to me at now :roll: :?

sorry..deliver takes about 1 week and ½..but they are coming...got em ordered from pediactric company :)

sorry that happened. Sometimes it just feels so good to blow off some steam for a while, though. I control my meltdowns with medication mostly. Before that it was going into another room and screaming in rage and beating the walls and doors. Group homes really suck in that manner. Once i am done screaming my brains out i tire out and am fine.

Restrained? what were you doing during the meltdown to cause you to get restrained? When I have a meltdown I get emotional and get verbally aggressive, but almost never become physically violent. :?

i had a meltdown a few days agao and flipped out like it was 1884, somehow now the computer is making me have them :lol:

intruction:Olympic Papoose Boards solve the frustrating problem of temporarily restraining injured, frightened children (also teenagers and adults) for medical or dental treatment. A struggling, frantic child can be completely immobilized in less than 60 seconds on a Papoose Board. Then, while the patient is securely and safely held, the physician can expose any part of the child's body for examination or treatment.

Papoose Boards work on the proven splint principle of binding the child to a rigid board to suppress struggling. The board is quickly and easily applied using three sets of opposing canvas flaps, with Velcro fasteners, that fold over the child's body. The diagonal shape of each board causes the flaps to crisscross, providing a snug-fitting restraint.

Separate arm straps hold each arm. In addition, an adjustable strap can be used to immobilize the child's head. (Optional Head immobilizers and Arm immobilizers are also available).

ya it really depends lot of causing of meltdown what i do..in that case living in family home sucks..u cant even yell to anyone coz u would probably get restained....and dont worry im not violent until someone tryes to restain me and when looking to behaving when i meltdown its not wonder...even im nice anyway they just always try to restain me if i get meltdown

when i had the physical ability to do so yes... i used to do it pretty tight too hehe...

i would probably love to have this thingy... i would fall asleep sooooo easy again haha...

I do that too. It kept me comfortably warm and I like the sensation of having the same feeling all over my body, sort of like being immersed in a tub of hot water but without the wetness. I used to wrap my head too when I was a child(was also mildly scared of aliens), but I stopped doing it after about age 14 when I could no longer get enough air to breathe.

I lost the ability to wrap up my body... but now i like wrapping my head in a soft velvety scarf... yeah it does impair breathing but i can still breathe so i still do it anyways...

hence why this restrainy thingy would probably be really nice for me haha...
