So, how is your hair? Long? Short? dyed? Crazy?

Mine, I wore in an afro for many years. Last year I took the plunge and began getting my hair twisted. It has since grown into dreadlocks and I have not looked back. I love em! To be an aspie without a single outgoing bone in his body, its very refreshing to have complete strangers (lady strangers lol) come up and compliment my locks. It happens at least 2 or 3 times a week! Its just annoying when when pull on them and touch them. "Can I touch it?" or "how do they grow like that?" ugggghhhh

My hair is mid-back length, very fine, straight, dark, and all I do is part it in the middle and let it dry. I tried other stuff with it, but this is what looks best and is easiest on me.

Well, except for when I shaved my head. Completely. For a couple years.

I let my youngest son shave it when I lost a bet with him, and then kept it shaved because it was so comforatble. I have very fine, regular, facial features; large, aqua-colored eyes; and a nice, smooth scalp with no moles or anything, so it's rather pretty, too.

I finally let it grow back because:

At least two wrecks were caused by people gawking at it.

Too many strangers asking "can I touch it?" I used to ask if I could grope their body parts in return, and found out just how many -- really many -- guys there are out there who like completely bald women.

Too much unsolicited, gratuitous, and fatuous sympathy from strangers, who assumed I had cancer or some other disease.

It always kind of ragged me that I couldn't do something as simple as shave my head without attracting attention. Pretty stoopid, if you ask me.

My hair has been heaps of lengths and a small variation of colours.

At the moment it is blonde and just below my shoulders. It was cut about 5 months ago to just below my chin, and I'm growing it out for a bit.

My natural hair colour is medium to dark brown.

My hair is dark brown and not in any particularly striking cut or style. But it is soft.

My hair is short, almost always has been. I grew it out once, and it was crazy. It fluffs when combed back when wet. Normally, I have a flat top, or a litle longer than a crew (buzz) cut. Dirty blonde colored. Or really light brown, it's debatable.

yum! i luuurve dreads. had them for about a year, but only did some, cos i knew i'd get bored with not being able to do it millions of different ways (which is the only reason i haven't got them now). i had pink and purple silk extensions on them, too. brushed them out, eventually - now, THAT was a bit of a process.

my hair is (and has nearly always been) v long. it's VERY fine though, and so doesn't look very thick. at the moment, it's sort of burgundy, with my (natural) silver streaks at the sides and at my temples. i have a fringe, cos i look a bit mad without one. it will soon be purple (with silver streaks) though, cos i'm getting bored with it. it's been all colours, except blue (don't like blue), in varying stripes, streaks and what have you.

i wear it in all different ways, depending on my mood, the weather, and what stage of clean-ness it's in.

Actually, as often as not I asked if my husband could grope their girlfriend :P I figured they'd get the point, but a lot of them just said sure, go right ahead!

Mine has been lots of colours and styles in the past (the blue mohawk was probably the most fun). Until recently it was dyed blue-black and had grown halfway down my back, but I got warm, so I buzzed the lot off - back to a short crew cut now in my natural colour (very dark brown with a few silver bits starting to show above my ears.... argh)

About shoulder-length. It tend to go from super long to super short in cycles, though I'm determined not to let that happen again for a long time (to make a stupid pun).

I've had it dyed red, blonde, black and blue, and tried in December or so to dye it to match my natural color. I was close but no cigar, so I have golden brown hair with ash brown roots. ((It started off the right color but faded.)) I don't want to bother trying to correct the discrepancy again because I think my hair needs to have a break from the constant dying.

The words that come readily to mind are Samwise's lines from LOTR
