Usually I hardely ever stim, but now I'm constantly spinning around, wringing my hands, rocking back and forth, or my whole body trembles :( Is there anything I should do to reduce this? I know it's caused by stress, but I can't help that I'm caught in the middle of a court battle, so I can't do anything about that.

It's almost all the time! I do have Aspergers, but usually I don't stim - it's not a symptom I had, plain and simple (Until NOW)

Aww, im sorry thats happening to ya, im known as a constant stimmer, i just learned to accept it, say whateve. Maybe you can concentrate those stims into something else like something less noticable like maybe bring a notebook with you, every time u start stimming, grab the notebook and doodle instead, might help.

I used to stim a lot (constant like you) when I was more severely Autistic, but it hasn't happened in years!
I'll try the doodling thing, and maybe I can force my trembling feeling onto one body part?

I've also been able to rock back and forth so slightly that I can stim and nobody really realizes it.

I sometimes feel I'm faking my stims. "You weren't doing this before, why are you doing it now?" I don't get it.

Yea if ur whole body is trembling, maybe u need some sort of stimulation, ever try maybe carry a small weighted lap pad, or like u said maybe transfer that trembling to maybe ur leg, might be easier also.

Well, I'm not faking mine, though I know how that feels sometimes :P
I'm spinny today too! I was spinning and playing my DS for a half hour today.
I'm able to control it, it just hurts too, so I don't control it if I'm alone. It's very annoying sometimes (Spinning and doing homework is vitrually impossible)

I get this weird stim/tic where whenever I finish eating/drinking at home, my body begins to tremble. I don't get that. What kind of soda did Mr. Freeze just serve me? It wasn't even that cold. I'll have to rock myself back to normal levels.

I'm sure you do, you just aren't aware of it. I was ignorant of my stims. I had odd quirks, but to have called them a stim, I would have never then (before I heard of ASD ).

Yeah, I trembled a lot last year because of stress, but it wasn't at home, so I didn't think it was stimming, just stress. Now that it's happening ALL THE TIME, it's definitely stimming

I don't even know what stimming is, to be honest.

Here's a board I made to answer that question myself. I knew what it was, but couldn't really describe it to my friend for some reason.

I can't break the habit of twirling with my fingers when I'm not doing anything. It's caused them to bend when I relax them instead of stay up straight.

I also rock back and forth when I drive. It's quite annoying.

My hand also randomly shakes. If I hold it out infront of me I notice it shaking..
