If you're alone for too long, do interesting things start to occur? Or are you just like you always are?

If I'm alone too long, something strange does happen.
I get happy. Feels weird.

Yes, and yes.

Creative writing and/or creative photography may result. :)

Until I started college, I shopped impulsively.

Nowadays, nothing--there's nothing to do here, even for a town with a university and an air force base.

For some reason I start vividly remembering good times I've had with friends. It's weird. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the facial recognition part of autistic brains lights up when engaged in special interests.

I love it. There's nobody around to bug me about things or that I have to try to "entertain." There's nobody watching whatever garbage is on MTV at a ridiculously loud volume. I can turn off all the lights and listen to some decent music for once. It's wonderful. :D

I think that its the reason why I am up till 5am every night. Once its quiet and everyone is asleep I finally get a chance to unwind.

I've been isolated from people for years (not my choice) with very sporadic contact with humans except at work, where I'm also a bit of an outcast. I don't know what the effects are. I've taught myself to enjoy those things you don't need humans for. So I guess it's made me more self-reliant, independent and resourceful.

Isolated for...8 years and 3 months, no social contact other than with my mother; would have been fine if it wasn't for external events that made some people go...crazy, and they (events and people) completely destroyed my order and routine.

I'm fine with solitude, but I have a good friend now, who so happens to walk beside me; I'd much rather this now, thanks.

Echo GreenTea. However I have made recent strides to get out and get into contact with people.

I now play basketball and do dancing on a monday night. Apart from those specific outings (which I am largely and outcast in, and work (which I am largely an outcast in)) I am alone. And interesting stuff happens to me all the time!

Well... most people wouldn't find them interesting... but i do

I mean like no human contact at all for hours or days on end.

I'm fine at first, I really enjoy it, you know? But there's this certain point that I hit where things just get strange, and I get really paranoid and twitchy like . . . I don't know exactly how to explain it. But until that point, I like it just fine.

I don't have any particular feelings, or experience anything unusual when that happens.

When I'm alone for days, nothing bad happens. I'm very content, very comfortable and happy and I'm able to think much better. If I could choose, I wouldn't mind being the only person alive on the planet. But then, the friends I've come to know in the past three years are amazing and it's nice to talk to them every now and then, it really is, so as times goes on, my choice about being the only person alive on the planet may change eventually. I don't know whether it will, but it's possible.
