I find that the more people know me, the more they tend to disregard my opinions on things. Not always as in reject it, just simply not even considering it. Like a child's. I must be the least influential person I ever met. Why is this so? And does it happen to you too?

I suspect this happens to me a lot, but to me it doesn't really matter what other people think of my opinions - especially people I have no emotional connection with.

I'm guilty of not considering or even regarding their opinions either.

It's the way the cookie crumbles.

The majority of my peers at school hate students on IEP,
so I really cannot give an opinion.

Yes though less and less often as I get older and as my disregarded opinions have been proven right time and time again as time has gone on.

Though I have had to be a dick about it and say "Remember that time I said we should do X and you didn't do X but it turns out X was right after all". or someone says "We should have did Y" and I'll say "Remember when I told you to do Y days/weeks/months/years ago but you did Z anyway"? and they will be all "Yeah I remember."

What can we do with our parents...

I've often thought of that!

Save a few, though.

Aliens as in us or them?

Back to opinions: everybody's entitled to them, so am I, so that's that. I'm just being redundant.

I was so happy to find that people listened to me and my opinion counted on this board. I don't know why, or if this was what it was like before for me or what, I honestly don't remember, but I feel like I've been ignored and disregarded for a long time and suddenly I came here and I wasn't anymore.

I feel as though no one ever listens to a word that I say and that they have no interest in listening. It's like I'm a kind of last resort in terms of people wanting my opinions.

I feel like my opinions never count around my family. Some ppl are the same way depending on their personality. It's probably because I can't voice my opinion as well as other ppl.
