This is going to sound strange, but sometimes people have avatars which really freak me out for some reason. The funny thing about it is that they aren't really intended to be intimidating, but they just seem that way to me, but I don't know why. For example, on another site someone had an avatar of a sock puppet and I was terrified of it and I tried not to make that member angry just because of their avatar.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? I don't mean I have a crippling fear or anything, but I feel uncomfortable. Maybe it is just a fear of puppets and things of that sort... I don't really know.

Some avatars make me uncomfortable, usually the ones that move fast or display intense human emotions. So I don't look at them.

Your avatar reminds me of the pentagram you find in Satanic rituals...something you definitely do not want to ever get involved
in...there are demons in this world and the supernatural is nothing to foolishly play around with in fun.

Yours is good, but there are a few that just creep me out.

ah, ignorance

good:

sometimes representing the 5 wounds of christ on the crucifix. Most often used to represent the goddess venus.

In most cases, it's not even "evil" per se but the downward facing pentagram is used to indicate the wearer is interested in the self rather than the others. Inward, not outward. Jedi vs. Sith...get it?

No offense Psychlone but your avatar sort of intimidated me at first. It has the back of a naked guy on it, which really isn't bad now that I think about it. :?

There are a few that I just can't stand to see; but I've blocked them out of my head at the current moment.

If mine bothers a bunch of people I wouldn't mind changing it, though I haven't received any complaints about it yet.

I am intimidated more by personalities than by avatars...

I do find some avatars intimidating.

I hope no-one finds mine too aggressive or frightening
