I have been going threw alot of anxiety latly and I have noticed weird things with my skin that my or may not be completly phycological, i dont know. First my ears started to hurt where I have had them peirced for years. I may have noticed this on and off in the past but never really took notic. it stsarted bugging me so much that about a month ago i took my earings out but discovered they were ot the problem, it still bugs me. About 8 months ago i got a tattoo, i was very happy with it af first but the past month i have been having a weird sensation over my whole skin where I feel like I need to get out of it and I find it even more on this spot. i have anxiety attacks over my tattoo daily even though i love, and i often feel the desire to the skin off my wrist where it is. i have noticed a simulare feeling on my other scars on my arms but not as bad. has anyone ever experienced somthing like this or am i just going crazy?

Sounds to me like your body has some kind of weird hypersensitivity to scar tissue. I've never had it, but does it include itching? The only thing I can come up with the help is ice to numb the scars to kill off the unpleasant sensation.

I doubt you're going crazy! Anxiety isn't just a mental phenomenon, you know; it affects your entire body. It's entirely likely that your body's reacting to anxiety in some way that causes you to experience these issues. This is one of those things where you're probably going to have to figure out ways to treat symptoms while you deal with the root cause. Alleviating the anxiety probably has a good chance of relieving this hypersensitivity issue you're dealing with.

BTW, some people are indeed sensitive to tattoo inks. It's not impossible that you're one of them, though it's relatively rare.

Peko, it doesnt ich, its more like a tingling or a crawling, but even that is not quite right and that is on all my skin. its just worse on my scars. sometimes being in water helps, i havent tried ice yet. I have always had sesnsativities, just some times they are worse then others. all my sences have been hightend latly it seems.

Callista- thanks for the reasurance, i am sure you are right about me not going crazy. lol. I thought about the ink sensitivity thing. I hope it is not that. I think it is likly not or i would have probebly noticed in the first few months. though, who knows.

Every once in a great while, I have scars on my hip that will bother me...I don't know if it depends on barometric pressure or what.

I also have a leg injury that bothers me constantly, but that's something that's pretty common.
