I know this is an Asperger site but I felt like asking.

I think I have symtoms of it.

I always had problems spelling when I was younger. And no, I'm not ret*d like most people think.

It does seem to come with autism. Coordination problems aren't necessarily a diagnostic criteria (if I understand correctly), but are associated with Asperger's Syndrome.

I have what they would call motor dysgraphia. It wasn't until I was 15 that I could even write in lower case letters, and I still have to hold my pen so tightly that the pages curl up like maps due to perspiration. It's simultaneously annoying and a source of humor.

It's listed as a common comorbid in the OASIS book about Asperger's syndrome.

I recieved a huge amount of flack from my teachers growing up because of how bad my handwriting was and how slow my writing was. In things like spelling tests, I had to write as quickly as I possibly could, just to keep up with the teacher... then they would yell at me (or worse, count even correctly spelled words wrong) because of the handwriting.

In middle school, I got a portable electronic typewriter, which helped things a lot (the spelling teacher liked the lack of a spell check, too), and word processors became more common by the time I got to highschool.

That didn't stop one English teacher from failing be due to handwriting, though. I ended up having to make up the course through a community college, who placed me in second semester college English (even though I was only a high school sophomore at the time).

Yes I have it, my handwriting is terrible as a result. I make mistakes often like forgetting the last letter of a sentence, switching letters around, forgetting a word in a sentence, writing a word in a sentence twice, ex: "Today I am am writing this essay about...", and I hold my writing utensils very strangely, I also get pain from writing. My handwriting looks like a ridiculously blocky mess. I'm not sure if those are all symptoms of dysgraphia, but I know a few of them are.

I have, on occasion, been told that I have 'nice handwriting for a guy'. I'm never sure what to think of that.

I suffer from this too.
It's annoying, because all throughout my life I've been having flak from teachers because of my handwriting, or being such a clutz..

As far as handwriting goes, I kinda solved that by rather then writing every letter in a word connecting, I wrote them seperate but close enough..

I cant realy explain other then that my handwriting looks like typed letters, but in a handwritten style..

I still have difficulties if I have to write somewhere without lines, though..

Now, if I could find a solution for my other bad coordination problems
