I've always hated weekends and never really understood why. Now I think I know why.

It messes up the routine. Everything is different on the weekend. You either don't go to school or don't go to work, no mail on Sunday, tv is all messed up with different programs.

All of my life I have had problems dealing with weekends, even when they were a relief from a full time job or school. They still felt disruptive and off.

Anyone else?

I love weekends because I don't shower.

I love weekends because the routine is free fall and I can do what the hell I want

(as long as I get the laundry done, and the kitchen and bath scrubbed out the grocerys shopped for and lugged home, the lunches and dinners planned out for the week work clothes ironed and ready. . .)

yea, I hate weekends too, but for different reasons. for one, there is Shabbos on saturday, which my classmates find irritating because they can't invite me over, or call me. and I prefer to do my own things on sundays, but it is rather lonely; sometimes I see my one friend, but he only likes to do what he wants to do and that is not really being friends, so that isn't that fun either.

when do you do your laundry? when do you shop for your meals? when do you clean your bath or kitchen or room? weekends are good for these things.

I always liked the weekend cuz I didn't have to go to work or school and I can just chill at home all day and play video games, watch tv, get on the internet. It gets lonely but at least im comfortable.

I find it impossible to be productive on weekends, and consequently I am here, 3 AM on Monday morning, still procrastinating on my calculus homework that I should have done Friday afternoon.

when I was in highschool, I listened to a radio station that had a jingle that went " The weekend's over. . . " to the tune of "The Party's Over" and I would get heart palpatiations and hyperventlate I was full of panic and anxiety when I heard it. Cause my home work was never done, and put it off and put it off and only half heartedly doing it when it was way too late.

Helllllll no I dont hate weekends. I do have a weekend routine, I cash my check, take care of financial obligations and get groceries and everything else I need all at once for the week, then the rest of the time I kick back, do whatever I want, usually see some people or have them come over.

During the work week I work and sleep and chill out, and try not to have anyone over I need more alone time on the weekdays.

No, I love weekends, my daughter doesn't have school, and we get to hang out and play all day. I don't even get dressed on Sunday. It's great.
I don't keep a rigid schedule through. Ive learned to adapt to whatever I have to. Since my daughter is Autistic, her schedule is my schedule and even shes not too hard-core about it.
I try to mix it up a little anyhow so she learns that sometimes things go differently. She does well w/ it and rolls w/ the changes. (Oooo I LOVED that REO Speedwagon song named that)

I wish I could discipline myself to have a routine on weekends. By the weekend I'm so exhausted from getting up early all week that I sleep half the day on Saturday.

Also, don't have much free time on weekdays so when the weekend comes dull errands are the last thing I want to do. The only time I can do anything on the weekends is when the guilt of procrastination completely overpowers me.

I hate weekends.
Why?
Because I wait all through the week, hoping something nice or exiting will happen in the weekend,
and as much as I try, or go out, or call some friends, it's just so uneventfull.

Basicly, it's a same crap / different day feeling.

It would depend on what your definition of weekend is. For me, it is Friday. I get to sleep late, not have to work, eat whatever I desire... it is a nice day. For me, Saturdays and Sundays are just workdays like any other.

That's true for me sometimes too. And I do like having the routine of the week as well, not only because it's comforting to have a routine, but it keeps me too busy to worry about anything...On the weekends I have a lot of free time to have little freak outs.
