I mean those of us without family or friends...what does a typical day in your life look like?

I don't have any friends but I have family, but they're not like me. They manipulate me a bit and my mum fancies me, which is not healthy in general. I meditate which sends my head off into the clouds and I have a lovely house which is like my fortress, there's a big lock on the door.

My life has gotten much better, since I stopped looking to family to give me a sense of love and belonging. So, I don't really miss them as much as I used to. I have one friend, brand new, and hope I don't screw it up. A typical day is blissfully productive, or just for mellowing out, because my life isn't cluttered up with shallow connections.

I hate my job so I try to keep myself busy in my free time but social frictions and procrastination bring me down over and over. I'm used to being alone and figuring out things to do so, technically, I don't get bored - still, it all eventually feels quite absurd.

I am pretty fortunate. I wouldn't necessarily say that I have a lot of "friends," per se, as that term is usually defined, but people do like me. I do have a family who loves me. I also have pets, which are a great source of comfort.

I have a job I love and one that I can do well.

The main problem I have is that I seem to do incredibly dumb stuff sometimes. It is sometimes a source of embarrassment. Generally, however, my life is good.

I don't have any friends but I do have family. My routine was pretty much simple as it can get everyday. When I had a job and going to school it was wake up go to school, get outta class go straight to work, get home from work. get a few hours of week then go right back to school in the morning. Weekends just sit in the house and chill.

check my email

have something to eat

read or hike or run errands

have something to eat

back on internet before I go to bed

Once a week I go to a script reading series, where I actually interact with real people, but that's about the extent of my social life right now. I can't afford to socialize in any way that costs money, so I'm pretty limited.

on a related note:
i often have phases of cutting back contact in extreme measures. ever since term breaks started, i met other people once a week during work at uni and its not really that interactive. usually, id use breaks to have excessive nerdishness-galore meetings with my best friend, but she left for china until the last quarter of the year, so thats out of the equation, too.

however, when i take timeouts myself, there is a period where its useful, i find back to myself, can get back in touch with me completely, sort myself out, focus on doing personal wellness stuff etcetera... however, after a certain amount of this, it becomes incredibly counterproductive to me: days have this feeling of growing pale and like background noise, i circle around myself, lose initiative at an extreme pace (even the initiative to do stuff that does me good)... and through all the intense amounts of introspection, i have the feeling of "losing myself" - kind of like when you try making a super accurate definition of a word, the more accurate you become, the less of the meaning of the word you somehow manage to grasp, because you have to note all contextualities and stuff... the idea of a single concept becomes slippery. i feel similar regarding myself, at those times.
anyone noticed something similar?

I gotta take on life all by myself. Hearing people refuse to learn sign. Deaf people would rather work 24/7 than be with me, regardless of the fact that I sign very well. Deaf-Blind people would rather believe all the bad reviews I've been given than believe what I directly tell them about myself. So that leaves me with NO friends and piss-poor communication with family & service providers .

Work days (Monday - Wednesday - Friday):
8:30AM - get up, get dressed, eat breakfast, brush teeth, get down the stairs, out the door, and on the bus to go to work
10:20AM - arrive @ work, await the 10:30 start of the day
10:30AM - 11:30AM - first hour of work
11:30AM - 12:30PM - lunch break
12:30PM - 2:30PM - second two hours of work
2:30PM - 4:30PM - stop in Western Hills to transfer buses, hit the UPS Store to get my mail, & go home
4:30PM - 5:30PM - cooking & eating dinner, washing dishes after dinner
5:30PM - 8:30PM - listen to music, practice my sign language, look around online
8:30PM - 9:00PM - eating evening snack & looking around online
9:00PM - 9:30PM - in the shower
9:30PM - 10:30PM - lying down before going to sleep cuz I'm TIRED from working
10:30PM - take my meds, lay down, & go to sleep

Off-days (Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday):
10:30AM - get up as NOT to cut my day too short, eat a light breakfast
11:00AM - eat lunch
11:20AM - 4:30PM - practicing my sign language, looking around online, listening to music
4:30PM - 5:30PM - cooking & eating dinner, washing dishes after dinner
5:30PM - 8:30PM - listen to music, practice my sign language, look around online
8:30PM - 9:00PM - eating evening snack & looking around online
9:00PM - 9:30PM - in the shower
9:30PM - 10:30PM - winding down
10:30PM - take my meds, lay down, & go to sleep

wake up, make and drink my coffee, goto work, work, get off of work, go check my mail, go home, check my email, clean house, check this forum, maybe watch TV, goto bed.
on my weekends (at this time) I get to have my son with me, I spend all day playing and teaching and stuff, going for walks, all kinds of fun stuff.
aside from that, I have no friends, my family is over 500 miles away.
and ow yes, I do stop to eat now and then, especially when my son is here at home with me, other then that I eat at work and thats it.

I don't have any friends, but I do have a daughter, 12, who is the only reason I have to go out of the house. Whether it be to go to the store or as I am her general taxi service. Otherwise having to deal with the public is agony if I am by myself, literally. If I have my daughter with me, she is like a shield because luckily she has turned out to be very out going and loves attention.
